In collaboration with Tajai Massey of Souls of Mischief, we explore the essential relationship between beats and rhymes in hip hop. Our live system visualizes instrumental beats with lyrical events, which are then encoded in color-coded rhyme schemes. This design is currently being translated into a large-scale physical weaving by Oakland, California textile artist, Meghan Shimek.
